Precita Eyes community art classes enable children and youth to develop their individuality and confidence through creative activities, and to experience unifying, positive social interaction through collaboration.

Precita Eyes Mural Arts Center offers a variety of low-cost art classes for adults, teens and children six days a week every week. These classes run on a drop-in basis throughout the year.

Toddler/Preschool Art Classes
18 months - 5 years

Come join the FUN at this art open studio! Introduce your child to a world of art and imagination. In this hands-on environment students explore painting, drawing, play-dough and craft-making. A wonderful opportunity for parent and child to be creative together. Drop-in today! No pre-registration required.

Tuesday Monster Mural Workshop

Who doesn't love monsters? Who is afraid of monsters? This class provides you with an opportunity to paint your own really big monsters. Be a part of a mural inspired by the critters that you create. Use paper mache and found objects to build your very own creature. Let your imagination guide you in learning to love monsters.

A class for children who want to become familiar with the mural process and explore a variety of arts and crafts materials for mural related projects.

Youth Mural Workshop
11 - 19 years

Students learn how to express themselves creating portable and permanent community mural paintings, how to use acrylic paint, and a collaborative process of translating thoughts and ideas into an organized composition. Youth create community murals using drawing, composition, and color design techniques.

Saturdays

Urban Youth Arts Class
11 - 19 years

In this class students (ages 11-19) develop a personal style, focusing on street art, spontaneity as the key form of execution. They explore their own creativity with traditional and alternative techniques. Students learn how to collaborate on portable and permanent public mural projects.

Birthday Party
Celebrate your child's birthday by creating arts and crafts!!

You can rent our art studio or we can host the part for you. We provide a paint station with a giant roll of paper, play-dough station, crafts & collage station making party hats or party outfits.

Instant Murals for Artist and Educators

Do you want to learn how the community mural process works? Teach your students how to collaboratively paint a small portable mural? Precita Eyes will demonstrate a 3 hour hands-on process that will walk you through the steps of learning to direct and create your own Instant Mural. The end result is a beautiful portable mural painted on TYVEC paper. Ideal for interested artist and educators with limited time and or budget.

The Community Mural Arts Education Workshop
Adults (age 18 and older)

Using a collaborative community mural process this two hour workshop will provide "hands-on " experience in directing, designing, and planning of a community mural under the guidence of a Master Muralist, Susan Cervantes. Call (415) 285 -2287 for more info.
