Precita Eyes Muralists Summer Camp

2008 Schedule

Let your kids express their creativity this summer by taking them to Precita Eyes Kids Art Summer camps. Activities will include painting, printmaking and crafts such as paper mache, book making, puppet making, even your very own monster!

Each programs runs for a week, Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM for children ages 5-10 years old and youth ages 11- 15 years old. The cost is $175.00 per program and discounts are available with Precita Eyes Membership.

Puppet Camp
June 16th - 20th
Children ages 5-10, will create a story and a stage and learn various puppet making techniques including fabric and shadow puppets

Urban Arts Camp
June 23rd - 27th
In our Urban Arts program for youth ages 11-15, students will enjoy traditional and modern techniques including the art of letters and stencils.

Kids Mural Camp
July 7th - 11th
Students ages 5-10 will explore monumental painting and the Precita Eyes Collaborative Community Mural Process

Monster Camp
July 14th - 18th
Children ages 5-10 can come and build their own monster using found objects and other sculpture making methods

Printmaking Camp
July 21st - 25th
Students ages 5-10 will enjoy learning various printmaking techniques including mono-print, sponge prints, and linocuts.

Paper Mache Camp
July 28th - August 1st
Children ages 5-10 can join us in building and painting paper mache creations including masks, animals and other creatures.

Bookmaking Camp
August 4th - 8th
Kids ages 5-10 can come and create their own story while learning various bookmaking techniques

Kids Mural Camp
August 11th - 15th
Students ages 5-10 will explore monumental painting and the Precita Eyes Collaborative Community Mural Process

Puppet Camp
August 18th - 22nd
Youth ages 11 - 15 will create a mural using traditional and modern techniques.
