Workshop 1. Tuesday, February 16 Gain hands-on experience facilitating community-based mural-making under the guidance of Precita Eyes Muralists founder Susan Cervantes. This two-hour workshop introduces Precita Eyes' inspiring approach to visual story-telling and the collaborative mural process. Participants become familiar with the mural-making process from start to finish, including budgets, contracts, planning, and designing a rough mural composite in collaboration with class participants Workshop 2: Tuesday, February 23 Gain hands-on experience facilitating community-based mural-making under the guidance of Precita Eyes Muralists founder Susan Cervantes and assisted by Paola Reyes Melendez. This two-hour workshop puts into practice the Precita Eyes' inspiring approach to visual storytelling . Participants will transfer their collaborative mural composition from the previous workshop to a 5’x8’ TYVEK paper and paint it to completion creating Mural Magic! The portable mural will be displayed at the San Francisco Public Library shortly after.
